How to live spiritually

 

Is Spirituality a Religion or a way of life?

Religion comes up often when talking about Spirituality.   Let's start with the definition of both of these words from the Merriam-Webster's Learner's Dictionary:

Simple Definition of religion

• : the belief in a god or in a group of gods
• : an organized system of beliefs, ceremonies, and rules used to worship a god or a group of gods
• : an interest, a belief, or an activity that is very important to a person or group

Simple Definition of spirituality

• : the quality or state of being concerned with religion or religious matters : the quality or state of being spiritual

Many in the Spiritual community try and define Spirituality as a Religion.   Personally I believe Spirituality is a way of life.  If you are truly Spiritual you do not need an organized religion to regulate your behavior.  You are living within the laws of Natural Law and thereby are living at peace with nature and the world around you.
