Whispers at Whiskey Hill

A few friends of mine and myself will be doing something fun in Cassadaga this summer and in the process we will be raising money for the Meals on Wheels program!
On three of these events (July 17, August 28 & September 4), go to Church in Lily Dale and afterwards come have lunch at Whiskey Hill.  We will be doing mini readings for $25 with proceeds to benefit a great organization!   On July 31st we will be doing an evening event!
To better plan your day... We will be scheduling times until 5pm the Friday prior - just call me at (716) 962-5024.

Due to Scheduling at Whiskey Hill -- They are closing Labor Day Weekend to give their staff a well deserved couple of days off, we are canceling the September 4th date.

What God is....

We are all One with the Infinite.  We co-create as One.  As a Spiritualist, I find that being so, is a way of life, not a Religion.
We are here to serve our fellow man and grow from these experiences.

Understand the purpose of a Healer...

The power of keeping positive!

Look forward to seeing you tomorrow....

The Auditorium is a historic part of Lily Dale and has been the scene of many remarkable events. Built in 1883, it is the center of activities during the summer season.

Each afternoon, seven days a week, there is a service in the Auditorium featuring a speaker and a clairvoyant from 2:30-3:30pm.  I am honored to be the chairperson for the Auditorium 2:30 Service from June 24th to July 2.

This tradition runs for the entire summer.   While I am chairing there will be many wonderful people speaking and delivering messages.  So stop by and say hello...

While I am chairing here is who you may see....

Important Reminder for a Happy Life....

As I have gotten older, I have learned that happiness is earned.

When I say earned, I want to say it seem as if -- everyone wants it all yesterday.

We have to learn that we need to be grateful for all that we do have and know that what we need will be there when we need it.

Don't undersestimate the power of planting a seed!

There are times you will come across people that are not ready to hear what you know to be the truth.   Don't  feel it is your responsibility that they hear it from you.
When they are ready to accept this information, the right person will speak it to them. Sometimes people need to hear it many times before they believe it.
Don't underestimate the power of planting a seed.  Some of what you say will be absorbed and stored for later.
It is only your responsibility to be open and willing to share.   You are not responsible for everyone to accept it!

The Power of Music

A beautiful organization that makes the ending of life a beautiful experience.  As described on their website The Threshold Choir:

When we are invited to a bedside, we visit in groups of two to four singers. We invite families and caregivers to join us in song or to participate by listening. We choose songs to respond to the client's musical taste, spiritual direction, and current receptivity. Many of the songs we offer are composed by Threshold Choir members specifically to communicate ease, comfort, and presence. Because our songs are not religiously oriented, our singing is appropriate for those who are deeply spiritual, whether religious or not.
Watch this video and see how this organization provides love for free to those that are starting their transition in a beautiful way.

Grief and Healing

Life is hard and unfair. Once you accept that and stop struggling to make it work differently, you can focus on the good parts. And there are lots of them. Give them your energy - not the hard, unfair bits.  Healing is personal. Grief is personal. Time doesn't seem to heal; it just seems to soften the pain.

Keep Moving...

Today you may be feeling a little down and off balance.  I get it.  I have been there.  But you have to keep moving.

I understand you want to give up, but our struggles in life are only as difficult as we make it.

So dust yourself off, get back on your bicycle and keep moving.   Things will get better!

What is the greatest lesson you have learned so far?

Be Patient with YOURSELF!

I am constantly telling people, especially women to be patient. I realize that I tell them to be patient for some future goal or a change in circumstances.  Perhaps it is a word that adds to their anxiety.
I think that I need to rephrase that after seeing this quote. That it would be far more productive for them if I said you need to be kinder to yourself during this time.   That you are doing everything right.   Keep trying.  Look how far you have come and what you have accomplished so far.
The definition of patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.
By putting the focus on the patience I am losing them because I am telling them that there is going to be a wait.  Human Nature we all want what we want NOW!
It is going to take longer.   When all they want and need to hear is it is going to be ok and help with the ability to accept what is now.   It may be far more compassionate to help them with the without getting angry or upset part...

Simple Meditation Practice

There is something about simplicity in life.   The same can be said about meditation.
Keep it simple, keep it real and you will be successful with it.  You do not have to do it for hours on end.
It does not have to be done the way anyone else says it has to be done.  Pay attention to what works for you and do it regularly

Nature has some good advice....

Nature has a pace that it allows things to happen.   Not every year does things happen like the year prior.   So like people things do not happen at the same pace.
The trick is to be patient for those things you want to happen.   Be happy with what is happening here and now and look forward to the other things....

Look forward; remember to always move forward

I see a lot of people who wish that they had done many things differently.  They are so focused on the past that they are missing the now.

True, we all could have handled situations better.  Who can't say that they should have done something better.  We get into trouble when we linger too long in the analysis.
Yes acknowledge the mistake, but do not linger there.   It is not our mistakes of the past that will bring us peace in our lives.   But moving forward that will do that...   Picking our selves up after disappointments and doing better the next time.
Don't be discouraged.  Life gets better each and every day!  Don't regret your mistakes.  It is how you will learn.  And remember -- ALWAYS MOVE FORWARD!

Are you being too judgmental?

Judgment is such a harsh thing in life.  It completely steals your ability to enjoy life and those around you.
If I let judgment stop me every time I faced it in myself I would not know some pretty beautiful people.   I would have not learned some things that bring me joy.
So the next time you feel judgment in yourself, take a step back and question yourself.   Perhaps what you are quick to judge in the person or situation is something that you do not like in yourself.
If you answer yes to that, then start to evaluate and make corrections in your own behavior.

Life is about choices....

Yes, life is a series of choices.  And our choices do have consequences.  You choose which you'll be.

This is an interesting saying and it has a deeper meaning.   "those who wish to sing..always find a song".

We are all in control of our lives and how we frame our experiences.   If we want to be happy -- we are happy.   We find the reasons to be happy even if horrible things are happening around us.

Gratitude plays a huge part in all of this.  It helps you choose the son your are going to sing.
