What to expect in a Gallery Reading
One of my greatest joys is sharing my gift with others. On Sunday's when I attend church or the Wednesday Night Service at Lily Dale I will give greetings from Spirit. You may also find this style of message work at the Stump and Forest Temple.
There are times that people will pay to attend one at a Psychic Fair or fundraiser. You may have never seen one and wonder what to expect. Let me clear up the confusion for you. Not everyone in a Gallery reading gets a message. They are public demonstrations of the connection with Spirit.
Gallery Readings or attending one of the many message services in the area have a basic premise. There is a "stage" area and seating for the participants. The Medium that is sharing their gift will explain how they work and then they will begin by giving messages. There are three basic styles that Mediums work; Direct, Indirect and Billet. These messages are brief 1-2 minutes at the most we most often call them Greetings.
Personally I use Billet because it is the most fair way to handle who may or may not get a message. Let me further describe the three:
Direct
The Medium will point out someone and then ask "May I come to you" they then will give you a description of the Spirit they are communicating with and once they have confirmation you understand who it is, they will then deliver a greeting.
Indirect
The Medium will start by describing the Spirit they are communicating with and ask if someone can relate. They may need to give more details to narrow it down to just one person. Once they have confirmation, they will deliver a greeting.
Billet
Billet is the most difficult for the Medium, it takes a very talented person connected with Spirit to do this type of message work. Each person is given a ticket and they are pulled from a basket of all the available tickets. It is not until the person is identified that they then need to connect with the Spirit with the person. They then proceed like a Direct message.
Gallery readings are fun for those that are in the Gallery and for the Medium it gives them. There is a standard that you should be able to deliver 3 messages in 5 minutes when giving this type of message. I have seen some do 5 in 5 minutes with tears and laughter and the energy in the room is pure magic. When ever we do a gallery it is our goal to put that magic of laughter and tears of joy for everyone in that room.
